Life is Always #InTheWorx: How to Thrive While Things Are Still Unfolding
In a recent conversation with a friend, she said “I don’t have it all together yet, and once I do, I will be happy and content!”
Here’s something I wish more people said out loud: You don’t need to have it ALL figured out to be successful.
READ THAT AGAIN. Let it land. Because for so many of us… especially high-achievers, HR pros, and ambitious builders … the pressure to “get it all together” is loud.
We’re constantly chasing the next milestone:
📌 When I get that role…
📌 When the team’s finally fully staffed…
📌 When this project wraps…
📌 When life calms down…
But here’s the truth no one wants to admit:
Life rarely calms down. There’s always SOMETHING in progress.
And that’s not failure.
That’s real life. That’s growth. That’s being human.
Let’s Redefine What It Means to “Arrive”
We were taught to strive for finished lines.
✅ Finish the degree.
✅ Land the job.
✅ Buy the house.
✅ Launch the business.
But what happens when you get there and realize - you’re still becoming?
Here’s what I believe, and it’s at the core of everything I teach, coach, and write about:
Life is always #InTheWorx. And that’s exactly where the magic lives.
Why We Struggle When Things Feel “Incomplete”
We crave closure. Completion. Control. But living and working in the middle of the process? It’s messy.
And when you're used to managing people, timelines, expectations, and strategy, that mess can feel like failure.
💥 You second-guess your progress.
💥 You compare your behind-the-scenes to someone else’s highlight reel.
💥 You hold back because you think you're not “ready yet.”
But thriving in the middle - the #intheworx part - means giving yourself permission to move forward anyway.
How to Thrive When You’re Still Figuring It Out
Let’s be honest: we’re all figuring it out.
So how do you keep going, growing, and building, without waiting for perfect clarity or completion?
Here’s how:
🔹 1. Stop Waiting for the “Right” Time
There is no perfect moment. Start where you are, with what you have.
🔥 Try This: What’s one thing you’ve been waiting to do “once things settle down?” Do it in a micro-way this week. Progress loves momentum.
🔹 2. Share the Messy Middle
We don’t connect through perfection. We connect through honesty.
🔥 Try This: Instead of pretending you’ve got it all handled, try saying:
“This is still a work in progress, but here’s where I’m headed.”
Watch how others breathe easier because you went first.
🔹 3. Build While It’s Still Unfolding
You don’t need a final draft to start building something powerful.
🔥 Try This: Treat your career, your business, your leadership like a living document. It’s not locked, it’s editable. Keep moving.
🔹 4. Measure Alignment, Not Just Achievement
We get so focused on checking boxes, we forget to ask: Does this still fit the life I want to live?
🔥 Try This: Every 90 days, pause and assess:
What still feels aligned?
What needs to shift?
What are you holding onto that’s no longer serving you?
🔹 5. Find Your #InTheWorx Rhythm
Your pace doesn’t have to match anyone else’s. Success is personal—and so is timing.
🔥 Try This: Create your own “enough” list. Not goals for public validation, but what enough looks like for you in this season.
Here’s the Real Talk: The Middle IS the Work
You don’t need to have the branding perfect.
You don’t need to have every process mapped.
You don’t need to be in your final form.
You just need to show up and keep building.
Because the messy middle?
It’s where resilience is built.
It’s where clarity starts to form.
It’s where you realize… you’re already doing it.
Your Reminder: You’re Not Behind… You’re In Progress
You don’t need to wait until everything is tied up in a bow to celebrate where you are.
📌 Life is still unfolding.
📌 You’re still evolving.
📌 And guess what? You’re still winning.
Let’s stop waiting for the “after” photo and start embracing the beautiful, brave during.
You’re #InTheWorx. And that’s enough.
Let’s make it happen. 💪✨
